In a scene straight out of coastal history, this Home & Home golf tournament had a unique twist as competitors from Edisto Island arrived by boat to Dataw Island on a cold, windy morning. Bundled in layers to fight off the chill, these golfers made their way across the scenic waters before docking at the Dataw Island Marina for the day’s event. While most would expect players to arrive by car, these dedicated golfers braved the cold chop for a truly Lowcountry-style start to the day. “Whose idea was this?” was the first thing a competitor jokingly said as they disembarked from their rocking boat.
Despite the low temperatures, the energy was high with excitement. The boat ride added a fun, coastal aspect to the competition, bringing together a group of dedicated players ready to take on the challenge.
